I came across @uprising_labs while scanning Web3 game projects for my next research. I observed most were still circling the same loop: cinematic trailer, pending token, vague “lore-driven gameplay.” Then there was Uprising. • a lineup of shipping titles, • on-chain infrastructure, and • a publishing cadence that felt deliberate. I wasn’t sure if that made it a studio, an infra layer, or something in between. But it was shipping. That part was clear. At first, I assumed @uprising_labs was just another studio with better ops. But the more I dug in, the clearer it became: the games weren’t the differentiator but the infrastructure was. They weren’t building for a hit but for throughput, the kind of cadence Web3 has mostly failed to sustain. What appealed to me the most was, @uprising_labs's structure did not seem to be anchored in a single game or product. It’s an interconnected system, a publishing engine with modular components built to reduce launch friction at every layer. • Gamers L.A.B: logs on-chain gameplay data • Potion Swap: routes liquidity with game-specific mechanics • Recruit: loyalty engine tied to soft staking and engagement • Dream Catalyst: brings Web2 studios into the fold with funding + support But the structure isn’t built around a token. The token is built around the structure. Neither are emissions tied to hype nor is the release gated behind liquidity events. Instead, $UPR unlocks only as new games go live. Each title receives a scoped allocation distributed across players, developers, liquidity, and the protocol itself. Presale: That design sets the tone for what’s coming next: a presale that doesn’t lead with scarcity mechanics or influencer allocations, just flat pricing, milestone-based bonuses, and public access for those tracking what’s actually being built. Rather than layering on gamified access or tiered pricing, the presale keeps it simple: • Token price: $0.12 • Minimum entry: $500 • No whitelist, no cliffs • Vesting: 15% at TGE, linear over 12 months • Milestone bonuses: +2–7% based on total raise The presale also includes unlock-based bonuses. As more capital enters, token allocations increase and select buyers receive physical blind box rewards. Logic & Incentive Alignment: The mechanics are conservative by design. Supply doesn’t race ahead of product. The result is a system where players earn as they engage, builders are rewarded post-launch, and capital enters only as new terrain is unlocked. Proof of Delivery: The First Wave of Games: • @MaelstromRise: PvP naval combat with sea monsters and faction strategy • @NightSpawnRise: Procedural horror escape with co-op and 4v1 modes • @qrusaderrise: Mobile roguelite where real-world QR codes generate dungeon runs • @MasksOfTheVoid: Wave-based roguelite with mask-swapping telekinetic combat • @MulletCopGame: Retro mall sim where players toggle chaos with a violence slider Different genres, different loops but each one anchored into the same economic spine. A Structural Counter-Experiment in Web3 Gaming: So far, Web3 gaming has struggled to balance momentum with control. This may be one of the few structures built to hold both. Whether it scales is still unknown. If most Web3 games optimize for engagement and most infra projects optimize for velocity, Uprising might be the first to engineer for pacing. But it’s the clearest signal so far that Web3 gaming can move beyond theory without outrunning itself. NFA, DYOR. The tweet is released in a collaboration with Uprising.
